Traditions. Everyone has them. They strengthen the bonds within families and between friends; they are often the way that friends become family. At Spruce Lodge, the Fourth of July is a longstanding tradition. The day starts lakeside, the picnic tables are lined up, the snacks come out, and the grill gets going as the garbage can turkey roasts. Everyone comes together for an amazing potluck dinner, followed by fireworks, of course.

The Ryley’s have been coming to Spruce Lodge for over 30 years and and this year Sam made the day extra special with his proposal to Skye.
As the sun went down there was an engagement voyage down the lake…
And the night finished with fireworks lighting up the sky.
